Yu Gi Oh Master Duel has become one of the most popular card games available, as it offers a rich strategic franchise and an ever-changing metagame. Master Duel is a great way to test your skills and become a master duelist. The game can be complicated for new players, so here’s a starter guide to getting the best out of your Yu Gi Oh Master Duel experience.
Deck Construction Explained
Before you can start dueling, you need to decide on the strategy and cards that will make up your deck. Yu Gi Oh has five main card types – monsters, spells, traps, pendulum scales and extra deck cards – each with their own purpose that requires careful consideration when constructing a deck. For example, depending on the type of monsters you decide to include in your deck, they are either there to support and protect other monsters or they can be played offensively. If you want extra protection against opponent plays then traps should be included in the mix too. Additionally, if you decide to play with pendulum mechanics you will need two pendulum scales for each monster category.
When crafting your deck, it would be wise not to limit yourself solely to one strategy as this could paint a target onto your back during tournament play. Rather focus on creating multiple strategies within your deck; this way if one plan fails at least something else might work and give you an edge over opponents trying a single strategy.

Players who choose to use meta decks are usually able to compete at the highest levels without too much effort as these decks usually have counters for almost anything thrown at them – however this does not mean it is by any means easy
