Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the latest in the popular Nintendo series that has players creating and managing their own island paradise. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has added a new feature that has become immensely popular among fans of the game, meteor showers and star fragments. Players can collect these special items at night to craft unique themed items for their island, make wishes to the stars, or just have fun collecting them.
What are Meteor Showers and Star Fragments?
Meteor showers are events which happen in Animal Crossing: New Horizons where a great number of shooting stars appear in the night sky on your island. These shooting stars fall onto the ground and are scattered throughout your island, forming star fragments which can be collected by players. The star fragments come in four forms; small stars, large stars, zodiac fragments (represented by each of the 12 zodiac constellations) and star pieces (which look like clusters of bright stars). Collecting these star fragments will give players access to unique DIY materials which can be used to craft a range of different themed items.
How To Make A Wish On A Shooting Star
The process of making wish on a shooting star is relatively simple. During a meteor shower event, look up at the night sky and you should see plenty of shooting stars across the horizon. When you see one, press “A” on your controller while pointing your character towards it. Your character should then make a wish for good fortune as they watch it fly away into space. It is said that if one wishes upon enough shooting stars during a meteor shower event then one’s dreams may come true!
