Nintendo announced recently that the hot new titles – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, will be receiving a major update this upcoming month. The version 1.2 patch is set to bring a plethora of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and new game content for fans to enjoy. Here’s everything we know so far about the forthcoming update.
The biggest addition in the version 1.2 update is new game content, such as exclusive side quests and special characters to interact with. There are also hints that a brand new type of Pokemon will be introduced in the patch – although Nintendo has not provided any specifics yet. In addition, the game’s story mode will be expanded with additional chapters to explore.
Players can also look forward to encountering rarer Pokemon in battles and catching shiny variants of some Pokemon species for extra points. According to Nintendo’s press release, these additions will create a more “rich and diverse gaming experience” with plenty of surprises tucked away throughout the game for players to discover.
Bug Fixes and Quality-Of-Life Improvements
In addition to exciting new content, Nintendo also announced that they’ll be tackling some pesky bugs in the version 1.2 update. This includes fixes for certain graphical issues that were causing slowdown during intense battles or when transitioning between changes in maps. Additionally, players can look forward to improved controller responsiveness while playing with Joy Cons.
“We are dedicated to providing our players an enjoyable gaming experience,” said Nintendo director Yoshihiro Fujiwara in the official press release announcing the update schedule for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet “That’s why we’ve included bug fixes as well as quality-of-life improvements in our newest patch.”
