Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the latest installment of the 2015 Pokémon Red and Blue series. It is an action-adventure role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. The game follows a new protagonist in their quest to become a Pokémon Master, traveling through the region of Kanto. As with any game in this series, capturing and training creatures is essential in order to reach success.
What Is False Swipe TM?
False Swipe TM (also known as False Strike) is one of the most useful moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It allows players to forcibly reduce a wild Pokémon’s Hit Points (HP) to one, while keeping it alive. This can be used to weaken wild Pokémon for easier capture without dealing too much damage.
False Swipe TM first appeared in Generation 2 of the games, but it wasn’t until Generation 6 that it became obtainable as a move tutor item. Players can find False Swipe TM scattered across Kanto; however, they cannot learn it from any of their own pokemon.
How To Get False Swipe TM
To obtain False Swipe TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players must travel to Fuschia City’s Pokemon center. Once there, they will find a Move Tutor standing outside that will offer them the move for free if they have captured all 151 pokemon species available in Kanto. Once obtained, False Swipe will become an incredibly helpful tool for capturing rare or powerful pokemon with ease.
Alternatively, players can purchase the move from the Battle Maison located at Celadon City for 800 battle points. This option might be more convenient if you already have a lot of battle points saved up.
