It is available for free to play on the Nintendo Switch, where players can explore the world of Temtem while battling various creatures and other players. The game features an open world, where players can explore the six different floating islands to level up their Temtem and acquire new moves and items for their battles. Players can also take part in tournaments or join leagues to challenge opponents from around the world.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Temtem is focused on collecting, battling, and trading Temtem in order to progress through the story. Players will traverse the islands of Airborne Archipelago by air taxi or sailboat, engaging with NPCs and other players as they search for new Temtem. When encountering an enemy Temtem in the wild, players are taken to a turn-based battle where they must use their collected moveset against their opponent in order to win. If successful, players will earn rewards such as XP points that will help level up their own creatures, as well as items which may be sold or traded.
Players can also take part in Dojo battles against computer-controlled trainers for additional rewards. In this mode, two teams of three Temtem battle it out under specific rules such as all one-type teams or no duplicates allowed. By winning Dojo battles, players can earn Dojo Points which can be exchanged for exclusive battle items.
