The Binding Of Isaac Repentance continues the story from Afterbirth+, which follows a young boy named Isaac who has been abandoned by his mother. In a fit of fear and desperation, he takes refuge in his basement where he encounters monsters sent by God to test his faith. As you progress through the levels, you will uncover more secrets about both himself and his family’s past, which adds an extra layer to what could have been a simple dungeon-crawling game.
Isaac is joined on his quest by several other characters such as Cain, Samson, Maggy, and Judas Iscariot who all play an important role during gameplay. The game also introduces some new characters such as Lilith and more than 1 million room variations each with their own unique environmental design.
