Pokémons have become one of the most popular franchises in the world of gaming. From the original 151 Pokémons to over 800 Pokémons that exist today, there are so many choices for fans of the series to choose from. With new games being released almost every year, each installment brings with it a selection of new starters and their unique evolutions. Among the newest installments, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet bring forth some of the best starter Pokémons around.
Scorbunny
The Fire-type starter Scorbunny is one of the most popular starters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. With its signature orange blend of colors and cute rabbit design, it stands out among all other starter Pokémons. Scorbunny has high offensive stats along with access to an interesting move pool. Its evolution line goes through Raboot and Cinderace which further emphasize its offensive capabilities. At its final evolution it gains access to strong moves such as High Horsepower which gives it great power against opposing Fire-types.
Though some may argue that Scorbunny has weak defensive stats, its speed stat makes up for that in battles; allowing it to dodge attacks quickly and efficiently while dealing out heavy damage on opponents at the same time.
Sobble
The Water-type starter Sobble is often considered to be one of the cutest starters around thanks to its unique design featuring teardrop-shaped eyes partaking in an emotional experience upon being looked at by anyone. Sobble’s evasion stat is among one of the highest amongst all Water-types making it difficult for opponents to hit in battle; serving as a great technique against physical attackers such as Flying types.
Evolution line also grants Sobble some very useful abilities like Torrent when evolving into Dri
