The Zombie Army Trilogy is a horror first-person shooter game developed by Rebellion Developments and released on Nintendo Switch in 2020. The game is set in an alternate timeline of World War II where Adolf Hitler has unleashed legions of undead zombies on Europe. Storyline
The story of Zombie Army Trilogy follows a group of elite soldiers fighting against the Nazi forces who have unleashed a zombie army across Europe. Players take on the role of one of four playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, as they battle through hordes of undead zombies, monstrous creatures, and other foes in order to ultimately defeat Hitler’s devastating plan and save humanity from destruction. Each character has their own backstory that gives them an extra layer of depth; for example, one character is a disgraced former military officer driven by revenge against the Nazis while another is an archaeologist who has been pulled into this conflict out of necessity.
Gameplay
Zombie Army Trilogy offers players intense single-player or cooperative play experiences that capture the horror atmosphere perfectly with intense gun battles, chilling sound design, and horrifying enemies like monstrous mutant zombies. The game offers three campaigns each with fifteen missions featuring different objectives like defending positions or scavenging for supplies while battling relentless waves of enemies. Players are equipped with an array of weapons including sniper rifles, shotguns, and machine guns as well as melee weapons like chainsaws that can be used to clear out zombies quickly when needed. Additionally there are power-ups scattered throughout levels that can be used strategically to gain advantages in combat.
