Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the hottest video games in town right now. Players are constantly trying to progress in-game and unlock new characters, buildings, and activities. One of the most sought after characters is Blathers, the owl museum curator.
How To Unlock The Museum And Blathers
Unlocking the museum and Blathers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a surprisingly easy task. The first step is to reach level 3 citizenship in your island by spending money on purchasing items from Nook’s Cranny or taking part in Tom Nook’s daily challenges. Once you have reached this level, Isabelle will mention constructing a museum on your island during her morning announcements. After that, you will need to donate 4 different fish and 4 different insects to the Museum to unlock it.
The next step in unlocking Blathers is traveling to another island via Dodo Airlines or using Nook Miles Tickets. On this exotic island you will need to look for Pascal, a scallop-obsessed otter who trades rare items for seashells. If you are lucky enough, Pascal might provide you with a balloon present that contains a DIY recipe for the museum model—a required item in order for NPC’s such as Blathers to move into your island.
Activating The Museum And Blathers
Once you have obtained the DIY recipe form Pascal, craft it at any DIY workbench found around your island or at Resident Services Station. Now place the crafted model near ample space on your island—at least 6×6 tiles big– and confirm its location with Isabelle when prompted as it cannot be moved afterwards. You can then start collecting different fossils and donating them to Blathers’ museum until it is fully staffed by multiple NPCs.</
