Gamers everywhere are buzzing over the possibility that Square Enix is gearing up to launch a remastered version of the classic turn-based strategy game, Final Fantasy Tactics. Despite its age, the RPG title has consistently been heralded as one of the most influential and beloved games of all time, and many fans have long hoped for a modernized version. It appears that they may finally get their wish in the near future.
Square Enix Tease
The rumors about a new Final Fantasy Tactics began after Square Enix recently shared a brief teaser video to their official YouTube channel. The short clip featured several popular characters from the original game, along with some subtle hints that hinted at an upcoming remaster. This news quickly spread like wildfire throughout social media, with many gamers immediately speculating that Square Enix is in fact preparing to launch a new version of FFT.
Square Enix themselves aren’t saying much about it yet, however many industry insiders believe that an announcement could be coming soon. With Final Fantasy VII Remake set to release later this year, it would make sense for them to focus on marketing and releasing FFVII first before turning their attention more fully to FFT. Until then, however, fans are just going to have to wait for any official confirmation from Square Enix.

Since its release in 1997 on the Playstation One console, Final Fantasy Tactics has been held up as one of the best strategy RPG titles ever created. Its unique blend of deep tactical gameplay and an engrossing story made it stand out among other titles at the time, while its rich cast of characters quickly earned it legions of dedicated fans.
Since then FFT has gone on to inspire countless other games across all genres – from indie titles
