Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the two highly popular installments of the 8th generation of the main Pokémon series and the latest installment to feature a Team Star Easter Egg. While this Easter Egg is nothing new to seasoned Pokémon players, it is still an exciting surprise to encounter in-game.
What Is Team Star?
Team Star is an organization introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for players to join and explore. This team has a mysterious backstory involving an evil scientist who wants to capture rare Pokémon in order to unlock their secrets. As part of this mission, Team Star has assembled a group of talented trainers – known as the Elite Four – that are tasked with protecting innocent citizens from dangerous wild creatures. Players are offered quests and tasks that will help them progress through the story.
The main antagonist behind Team Star is Dr. Steinman, who also serves as the primary antagonist of Scarlet and Violet’s post-game content. He reveals his true nature by manipulating events throughout the game, such as abducting characters with his robotic drones, to achieve his nefarious goals.
Finding The Easter Egg
“Random Did You Catch This Team Star Easter Egg In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet” refers specifically to a hidden reference that can be found after completing a specific quest in Scarlet or Violet involving three other trainers; Maggy, Rabbit, and Turk. After completing this quest, players can find an old man character called “Random” at Alola Beach which triggers a cutscene where Random expresses his admiration for Team Star’s goal of protecting citizens from danger.
