Nintendo has just announced the start of a limited-time Pokémon Sword and Shield Shiny Clefairy Distribution. This special event is part of the celebration for the upcoming release of Pokémon Legendaries, which will be made available in December 2020.
Overview of Availability
The Shiny Clefairy distribution runs from November 23rd to December 1st, 2020. All players who have saved their game data to the cloud in their Pokémon Sword or Shield game can receive this special Pokémon. To take advantage of this offer, players must be connected to the internet and select the “Get with Code/Password” option from Mystery Gift in their menus. After entering the code or password “IWANTAPOKEMON” their Shiny Clefairy will appear in-game.
The Shiny Clefairy comes with a unique set of moves that are exclusive to this particular event, so it is a valuable addition to any player’s team. Furthermore, it has perfect IVs – that is, all its stats are maxed out at 31 – and knows Fake Tears and Follow Me as Egg Moves.
Why This is an Important Distribution
“This distribution allows players to get their hands on a truly special Pokémon,” said Junichi Masuda, Nintendo’s Director of Game Freak Inc., “It helps us mark the upcoming release of Legendaries in an exciting way by allowing everyone to quietly add one powerful creature to their collection.”
