The game brings back the carnage and mayhem of classic Doom-style games while delivering modern visuals and intense gunplay. Gameplay
Prodeus has you play as a nameless protagonist fighting their way through a wide variety of levels and enemies. You’ll have plenty of weapons at your disposal such as shotguns, sniper rifles, and even rocket launchers. The game also features a health system that keeps you on your toes as you take damage from enemies. Dying too often will result in having to start over from a checkpoint. Players can also find secrets hidden throughout each level for extra rewards.
The game is fast paced with ever-increasing waves of enemies coming at you from all directions. You’ll need to stay focused while using your environment to your advantage in order to survive each level. There’s also an online mode which allows players to compete against others around the world in classic deathmatch style battles.
Graphics & Sound
Prodeus has great visuals thanks to its new cel-shaded art style which captures the feel of old school shooters with modern eye candy. Enemies look great and explode into chunks when shot while levels are detailed enough so they don’t feel dull or monotonous. The soundtrack is also quite amazing with its energetic rock music that fits right into the action.
